While I can't get any of the Amazon samples to show up, it DOES appear that Waiting For The Rain played on Maaya's radio show on Bay FM recently.
It's beeeeeeyoooootiful. Love it.
Only a day or so 'til the album hits!

Re: New Kanno song "Aruko" with Iwasato, 9th album "Follow Me Up"
Album clips are up! Mostly for the already released songs. There are four new tracks excerpted: FOLLOW ME - perky, pleasant, probably not something I'll play often, harkens back a little to the Yuunagi Loop sound (better than that, though, I think Yuunagi Loop is Maaya's weakest album) Aruko - less ...

Koufuku Graffiti is not targeted at girls. Although the main characters are, indeed, high school girls, the premise of the show is that they cook food and then eat it like they're having sex. It's very definitely aimed at teenage boys and otaku :pImurann wrote: LEL, its for girls.. nanjaaaa kore waa..

New song announced - "SAVED"
Maaya's website updated today with the next anime song she will be singing, "Saved", the ED to the series "Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha" which will be premiering in January. No word on whether she will be voicing the series's female lead as well. Music and lyrics are by Shoko Suzuki (composer of Kazemac...

RE: Monster Hunter theme song - October 16th (?) "release"
The song went live today, you can hear it here. It's a nice enough song (seems to be in French?) but it's not really long enough to say anything else about IMO. Could be a Kanno track, though - there are a lot of strings in the orchestration which is a very Kanno thing to do.

Monster Hunter theme song - October 16th (?) "release"
Maaya is apparently singing a theme song for Monster Hunter Frontier G, an enormously popular online RPG. It's called Securial (セクレアール) and I believe it will go "live" on October 16th, when a character voiced by Maaya will be added to the game. I don't quite understand what's meant by "theme song" i...

RE: Daddy Long Legs
I'm sure most people who are interested already know this but Daddy Long Legs is having more performances in January next year at the Theatre Creation where it played before. The show is playing in London at the moment with the same production that was used by TOHO for the Japanese staging; John Cai...

RE: Daddy Long Legs
What's particularly nice about Maaya doing Daddy Long Legs is that it's directed by and written by John Caird, the director of Les Mis - so he obviously liked her enough when she played Eponine to cast her on this. And she's playing opposite Yoshio Inoue, who is a huge star for Toho (the producers o...

RE: New album 'driving in the silence' - November 2011
At first listen I am LOVING Driving in the Silence. Whatever direction Maaya is "moving in" (if she is consciously doing so?) I definitely approve - with that said, however, I was very "up" on Maaya's musical direction after Kazeyomi but then found You Can't Catch Me a bit disappointing, so who know...

RE: New Songs for Last Exile 2 and Tamayura - Hitotose anime shows
Buddy sounds just like I thought it would - if you're unfamiliar with School Food Punishment's other work they wrote and sang the amazing ED for Higashi no Eden, Futuristic Imagination, and musically Buddy sounds very similar to their style. They also did the ED recently for C. They specialise in ve...

RE: New album - autumn 2011!!!!!
Hurraaaay. What does everyone hope she takes on from YCCM? I'd like it if she carries on with songs like 'himitsu' and 'kimi no sei' but I'd like it if the new album had less bossa-nova-esque/slow songs like mizuumi etc. I'd love her to work with Suneohair again. Imagine a Waltz or Split for Maaya....

[quote="Kaimugen"]I just watched deleted scenes from Escaflowne. It was really strange, one scene had Van, Hitomi, Merle on Escaflowne, Dilandau in his Alseides and the Vione materializing over Tokyo. And they had several alternate end scenes which were not as good as the normal ending. I guess ther...

I think it'll be good. I love DEPAPEPE (if you don't know them they're a brilliant acoustic guitar duo) and if they keep to an acoustic guitar arrangement I think it'll suit the song, along with Maaya's vocals. I'll be interested in hearing DOWNTOWN; I'm so pleased that Maaya continues to work with ...
