The Japanese word translated literally as "forelock," but that sounded WAY too formal, so I assumed the lyrics meant the hair that hangs down in front of your face, which in America is called your "bangs" (in Britain and other places it is 'fringe,' etc...

Considering that most Americans only know a few Japanese phrases (which are: sayonara, konnichiwa, and domo arigato mr roboto), I really kind of doubt skosh came from sukoshi.
