DOWN TOWN/Yasashisa ni tsutsumareta nara LP Re-release Jan 2011
Meh. Not that my opinion counts for much, but this song and video do nothing for me. Just not my type of music, I guess. Oh well -- at least it sounds like Maaya had fun with it.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the song (it's a little samey) but I love, love, love the shots in front of the dressing room mirror and the curtain. Oh, and the band. They look like fun
So, yay for the way her videos are getting better. But nay on the DOWN TOWN song itself.
Maybe if I'd grown up with the song I'd like it better...

*watches PV* :odd: :o :odd:
That was certainly.... interesting. Can't say it was good or bad, just different. Maaya did look very cute in the PV though.
and it feels too glamorous for me....
I think this is the word I was looking for. It's glamorous, glitzy, and kind of gaudy too -- three words I really don't care for. I hope this isn't the start of a trend. I suppose Maaya is like every other girl in that she likes to be Cinderella at the ball every once in a while, but she got this far being Cinderella at home (in the sense that she has patiently and quietly worked these last 15 years). Does she really need to change that now that she's 30? Something tells me that trying to boost her sex appeal like this is not the best course for her to follow.
