If I lived in Japan and had a free weekend I would go for sure! Enjoy these moments while you can, they won't last forever.

I decided to let the lottery decide, and I was selected!

So I'll go to Hiroshima and try to get you some recordings ;)
Next objective: get a ticket for Rasmus Faber & Frida's concert, and I will be able to see Maaya 3 times in only 1 month!

It was great! Even if it rained a lot!

I'm so sorry I couldn't get my recorder to work. I guess that with the rain and the raincoat the sound would have not sounded good but still that would have been better than nothing...

Those who told me IDS events are special were right, it was very special indeed. We were all so close to the stage, it was very intimate and when Maaya was speaking she was also more familiar than the big Saitama live for example. As always she was very funny.

She said she made a setlist with songs around traveling and the sea, and tried to pick songs she didn't do at Saitama. So there were almost only "minor" songs as they say in Japan.

My favorite were DIVE and Light of Love, I also really liked Yakusoku ha Iranai where she did a little bit of the Gabriela Robin vocal parts just after the first chorus, of course I also loved Kuuki to Hoshi.

She played with her IDS band called the Cucumbers, composed of 4 members: some guy doing the keyboard and the flute, some other guy doing the guitar, some woman playing the cello, and another woman doing percussions. Everyone except the percussionist were also singing from time to time but we could barely heard their voices.

This won't be released but a few songs should be broad-casted, there were a lot of TV cameras.

Setlist:
1.Yasashisa ni Tsutsumareta Nara
2.Active Heart
3. Hajimari no Umi
4. DIVE
5. Nicola
6. Kaze ga Fuku Hi
7. Tegami
8.Light of Love
9. Kuuki to Hoshi
10. Kiseki no Umi
11. Shiawase ni Tsuite Wastashi ga Shitteru Itsutsu no Houhou
12. Magic Number
13. Kore Kara
ENCORE
14. Yakusoku wa Iranai
15. Pocket wo Kara ni Shite

So far there seems to be only 4 photos of the show (you can enjoy seeing our beautiful raincoats):

That's a nice setlist. I was thinking it would've been awesome if Maaya had two concerts with completely different setlists on consecutive days like Friday and Saturday. She has plenty of songs to do that. Maybe at the 25th anniversary then! One can dream right? :D

That setlist looks awesome! Glad you had fun :) (Lol an open air concert going into the rainy season in Japan - what could go wrong, right?)

I hope you're right about it being broadcasted, maybe some kind souls would put it on Nico or YT :D

25th Anniversary... one can only hope.

At least part of the concert will be broadcasted on July 25th on BS SUKAPAA. Hopefully someone will catch it and post somewhere.

Those are EXCELLENT news!

Maaya's concert lasted around 1:30, so if they cut the MCs (and there were a lot of MCs) this 2:30 program may show every song maybe..?

The link above confirms the program is only focused on these 2 Itsukushima Shrine lives.

By the way I have absolutely no idea how to see or record that... ^^ (I stopped watching TV 10 years ago...)

In the picture I see Maaya holding that kid's instrument, she really played it this time? :D Just the other day I rewatched making of countdown 2012-2013 where she was practicing playing it, but didn't play it in the end.

It's probably some pay tv channel like cable or something.

Yyrkoon, we're still interested by your report. This seems awesome (even with the rain).

A report was supposed to be bigger than the one I wrote some weeks ago? ↑

I just remembered something that was quite funny:
Before doing her last song, Pocket wo Kara ni Shite, she was saying that she was worried that if we all stand the deck would break and we would all finish into the sea so she said she asked many times to the shrine manager and insisted like "You're 100% sure?".
So we all stand, not easy actually cause there was not a lot of space and the raincoats didn't help. She started her song while saying "Don't move too much okay?", and because of that she forgot to play her keyflute (don't know the name of that thing she also used at Saitama) while she was actually holding it in her hands. When she realized it she said "Oh no!!! I forgot to play with this!" and played just the intro ending and the crowd laughed. That was very Maaya-ish to me ^^
