Fado

Post by Semerjian »

Hi, people!
I'm from Brasil, and fado's Lyrics are really in portuguese.
Some of these strange lyrics, as in Cloe, remember me "cocteau twins". Almost all songs were written based on the sounds they could send.
Hugs for all

Hi people, I'm new in this forum... I'm Brazilian.
I was looking the forum and I saw this post, about the music "Fado" and, how Eduardo says, this music is really in Portuguese.
It's a little different from the portuguese spoken in Brazil, cuz of the difference in the way how she sings the words, how she speaks the words...

So.. the lyric posted in here was a little alterated with some "?", and I decided to post it again... I hope it helps..

"Se você não ficou
Lá fora o dia passou
Se você não ficou
Tua vida é só para aqui

Se você não ficou
Lá fora o dia passou
Se você não ficou
Tua vida é só para aqui

Te cala, Te cala, Te cala...

Viverei contigo, amor
Viverei contigo, amor

(Repeat)

Contigo..."

And in the translation.. another note.
"Contigo" means "with you", not "by your side". ^^
And the "Tua vida é só para aqui" means "Your life is only to here", but I didn't found some sense in this sentence, just the way that it was readed, I think is something like "Your life is only to this place"... :maaya:

Well, I'm sorry if I didn't help anything... but I hope it works. All the love. ^^
