All Maaya translations by deltafour, dilly, and me (as well as a few of the old translations by others dilly has archived) linked from one place, organized by tag! http://www.delicious.com/maayas

Want to look at all the things (essays, interviews, etc) pertaining to one album or release? There you go. Want to look at all the translated IDS! newsletters we have so far among us? There you go. And so on...

Any questions, just ask me... hopefully this will be a good resource for everyone.

For those who are interested, "Bedtime Story", the third installment of last year's Full Moon Recital Hall, has started going up at sakamotomaaya.com:

http://sakamotomaaya.com/archive/bedtime-story

The first three are up so far; the remaining 18 will go up once per week (I'll try to keep to a Friday release schedule) until October. There's an audio player thingy on the page so you can listen to Maaya's lovely voice as you follow along in English or Japanese.

I made subtitles for the show, using the Frecklegirl translations for the songs, and Deltafour for MCs. I just did the timing for the full show, and runs perfect with the Blu-ray disc. For the DVD, the subtitle should be divided, as are two discs.

The two sites were credited in the caption.

If anyone wants to add something in the legend, or have any suggestions, please post here.

Long talk from the Visual Chronicle Book bundled with Kara no Kyokai Bluray box. Features Takashi Takeuchi (Character Concept), Kinoko Nasu (Original Story) and Maaya Sakamoto (Shiki Ryougi).
http://users.skynet.be/roxfan/knk/

Nice quote:
Nasu: At first, Tomoe comes off as the kind of character who you think can't pick up on subtext. But in the scene where he's telling Mikiya goodbye, viewers realize, "Hey, he's just like us, he's a normal person." To put it the other way, as someone who's completely ordinary, yet can converse with Shiki and have a relationship with her...well, Mikiya is actually the strangest of them all. (laughs)

Sakamoto: I know, that boy is definitely abnormal. (laughs)
Translation was bundled with the US version of the box, I only OCR'ed it from the scans uploaded by phoenix.

New essay translation:

http://maayasakamoto.blogspot.com/2011/ ... an.html

I know this is a ridiculous thing to be posting after everything I've put up but...could we get in trouble for fan translations? Like, I watched all the manga scanlation/fan subbing issues at a distance but recently I've been thinking about copyright issues and Maaya stuff. particularly the further I get through 'I.D' the more I'm worrying that if I get to the end of the book Flying Dog is going to jump out and go 'HAH! Now we've got you!' and arrest me.

I don't think they are planning to publish the book in English but could I get in trouble anyway?

Should I delete them all...?

Ridiculous, I know. But I've been googling and I'm a bit worried.

I think it's OK if you're not redistributing the material in the same market. I mean that the translation you do is served mainly for foreigners outside of Japan, as long as it's done by the fans and without profit. Think about it like volunteering. ;)
