IDS Newsletter #32 - Christmas Present from Maaya

Post by jason »

I received IDS Newsletter #32 in the mail yesterday and it included an X-mas gift from Maaya (just in time!). Basically it was one of the dvds they send about once a year. The dvds are the only reason I continue to pay 5,000 yen for the fanclub membership.

The dvd includes video clips from Maaya's trips over the past year to Amsterdam and Egypt. There's also footage from her photoshoots for Ame ga furu and Kazeyomi. The newletter itself has a bunch of notes on all the songs on Kazeyomi.

I'm illiterate in Japanese, so if any other IDS members can translate the newsletter contents, I would greatly appreciate it. :)

I don't mind glancing over the Japanese for tidbits  Merry christmas by the way - what a nice present!

The newsletter was mostly about the upcoming album - Maaya described the songs, who worked on them and how they were created and recorded.

No, you can live in other countries and still sign up. I'm in the US and dillpops is in the UK. I'm sure these are other forum people that are IDS members and live outside of Japan.

Of course someone outside of Japan won't get all the benefits of being a fanclub member (e.g. special concerts).

You get a membership card, 4-5 (I think) newsletters per year, sometimes random small merchandise and sometimes a DVD. You can also buy official merchandise (calendars, T-shirts etc) from the fanshop, but they ship only to Japan.

Yes they do ^^V that's how we get it - the only thing they don't send overseas is the goods from the IDS store (for some reason...)
