Hemisphere!! That was the one song I really wanted to see Maaya perform during her Kayezomi concert tour. C'mon Victor Ent, announce the Budokan dvd already... *froths at mouth*

It was fangasmically good. I can die happy now, she has sung every one of my favourite songs live. There must be a dvd, they couldn't have set up at least 6 cameras for nothing. I went nuts when she did 30minutes and then when Kanno made her appearance the whole Budoukan went beserk. Man, Private Sky sounded awesome, it was especially good because Maaya tried her hand with a guitar. She sounded gorgeous singing the soft songs and really turned it up on the fast stuff (hemisphere=epic). I was around the back north/east but when she took a walk around I was close enough to see the glitter on her eyelashes. The crowd was really fantastic, great atmosphere. Even though she may have missed a few lyrics on the whole it was perfect.

As for merchandise, I was there at half 7am and there were already about 100 people lined up so I joined in and waited till about 11:30. It was worth it, the line was enormous by 10:30. The book is a must buy people, seriously, beautiful photos and Maaya's history, interviews etc. The picture CLAMP drew of Maaya is sweet, and then there are the shots of her by Kanno, mmmmm.

I've said I would post a report, so here we are.
But I'm not to good with reporting stuff...

I began the day by going in Shibuya in tower record, where there were a small exposition about Everywhere. I think it was the better, because I've seen other since, and they were not as interesting...

Imagine photos of Maaya wearing the apron of Tower Record employees and wandering in the shop on a 4 m long wall. Very cute !

But I spent too much time in it and got late for the goods selling... I arrived at Budokan at 13:00, and... there were so much people ! Really incredible. I have already long queue before a show. But so much people, waiting to BUY GOODS ?!? Wow... If Roxfan would not have help me get a place by switching with one of his dude, I would have give up very quick.

And there was the same queue for the CD (although there was of course not in tower record, and I bought mine Everywhere without waiting a second... well I have not the cute blue plastic bag but... Idling Stop ! I don't need a plastic bag ;) )

We met totally randomly with some guys of the forum, but I didn't get half the pseudos of whom I was talking with... But nice people, for sure.

The concert itself now....
I cried a lot, because it was the achievement of a 12 years waiting. Too much emotion.
You already have the set list, I will not get back to it. I was just a bit surprised by the lot of Dive stuff they played. But this was happy surprise because I like this period very much. A set list is never perfect. But Maaya said she would want to put on it as a snapview of what it represent to her to be singing after 15 years... so certainly it was the perfect one for her, and this is what really matter.

Maaya weared various outfit, as usual, but they seemed to me stranger than the one from kazeyomi : a "gifted" dress, a "not-wedding-but-almost" white dress, a strange colourfull skirt that were balancing when she was walking, a very very cute blue dress, and at for Pocketo the stay just in a official t-shirt L size cuted to make a dress...

A word about the drum solo. It was very great, and let see as her live members are good. I play drum myself, I've already assisted a lot of drum solos, and this one was specialy great. I'd never excepted to have one in a Maaya concert, but this was one of small things that made this night even better than perfect.

In the other side, asking Suzuki Shouko to play drum, and so having both drums playing, was not a so good idea... she was playing very basic stuff, and all the good parts were let to the normal drummer.. so what the point ? I'm sure they could have find something else, or at least just having a only drummer at a time.

The Kanno part was magic. Maaya and her played a lot together during the performance. They seemed really happy to be together on stage again. And the audience were too :) This, and the Kiseki no Umi performance, were for me the 2 best part of the night.

Lot of MIC interevention... of course I almost haven't understood anything. But I felt there were some "just marketing" speaking about the merchandising, and some very more deep thought.

To end this speech about the concert, I would say the version made for the live were ALL excellent, and that matter a lot. Hemisphere, for exemple, is a very electronic one, very difficult to play live. And it sounded gourgeous. Same with 30min, and others...

Now I can die. I really thought it during the show, and it was a bit strange. It's just that I went where I thought I would never go, and seen what I thought I would never see. After this, you feel quite... lost. I will need to find further horizons to reach now... like another Maaya live ?

Jerome got yelled at when he tried to take pictures of the stage, but I was sitting next to him and got away with it so here they are :)

Stage
Zoom in on the screens

Bonus pic of some of the flowers that were set up by the entrance. I only got pics of one side, so you'll have to wait for the other people to post their pics as well.
