Specifically, Chapter 9 of the aforementioned Kenji Miyazawa novel, "Night on the Galactic Railroad". This book is in the public domain and available on Aozora Bunko. Chapter 9 is here. Since it's より, she'll probably read an abridged version.

October's is "Sangetsuki" (also public domain), by Atsushi Nakajima. November's looks like an original story from Otsuichi, aka Hirotaka Adachi. December's is a secret.

Does anyone know if it's possible to capture the stream for later viewing? It's going to air in the morning where I am, so I'm not sure I'll have a chance to listen to it live. [EDIT: nevermind, I think I've found a solution using rtmpdump]

Well, that was a most pleasant 30 minutes. If Maaya ever decides to release audiobooks I'd definitely buy every single one, regardless of genre.

Tonight's (last night's? today's? stupid time zones...) broadcast covered the last half of Chapter 9 in its entirety. I just finished uploading a straight capture of the stream (30:44, 230MB):

This is an FLV file, which VLC and presumably other players can easily handle. If someone would like to torrent this, please do, as there are probably many people in Japan who tuned in late or would like to hear it again.

It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be -- URL Snooper to find the rtmp:// address of the stream, rtmpdump to do the heavy lifting of capturing the stream using the command syntax found in a tweet, and VLC to pull out an mp3 of the audio. (I'd include links, but Akismet says I'm spamming...)

The time zone difference actually worked out rather well, as it gave me time to put it on my iPod so I could listen to it during my evening walk last night. Based on the twitter stream it was apparently raining in Tokyo during the broadcast, but we had clear skies in Dallas last night. The moon looked especially nice with Jupiter at opposition just off to the right.

It seems to be a MyBB bug that's causing that. It also causes each time you a edit a post to be registered as an actual post, resulting in multiple posts of this reply.

I try to disable Akismet for registered users.

I instead disabled Akismet for everything except the Admin area. Admin area is open to guest postings. So... simply don't post a lot of links in Admin area (I guess you don't have a need for that anyway) and things should be fine

(Going even further off topic) So was it the spam errors that caused the duplicates, or does previewing a post count as an actual post? I tend to preview once or twice before actually posting, but if that's making the moderators' job harder I can stop.

I believe the glitch is mistaking preview as an actual post.

That is how it goes. You can end the offtopic for now, because Akismet is disabled in forums: Maaya, Lyrics and tablature, Sea of Miracles & The Garden of Everything Also, a bug report has been made by me a couple of days ago – hopefully fixed in next release of MyBB.
