New Album “You can't catch me”, January 12 2011 Covers Out
RE: New Album “You can't catch me”, January 12 2011 release
Tuesday is trackday! Shameless copying to follow:
stand up, girls!
lyrics: Maaya Sakamoto; music: Shōko Suzuki; horn arrangement: Takuo Yamamoto; sound produced by: Shōko Suzuki
みずうみ (mizuumi, “Lake”)
lyrics: Maaya Sakamoto; music: Kaori Kano; sound produced by: Kaori Kano
トピア (topia, “Topia”)
lyrics: Maaya Sakamoto; music: Kana Yabuki; sound produced by: Shin Kōno
This brings the Maaya song count up to six, so she's still holding to her personal rule of writing at least half the lyrics for her albums.

I`m actually glad to hear that XD
I love her lyrics. If an album missed that it would feel like a very important part was left out.

And I'm glad to see some "Maaya Universe" names in production too

I love the title 'stand up, girls' (^^) hopefully this'll be a good song for a concert like 'Private Sky'.
RE: New Album “You can't catch me”, January 12 2011 release
is maaya-neechan going to release a new PV for the album???
RE: New Album “You can't catch me”, January 12 2011 release
Nothing announced for the PV.
But it's part of the marketing process, we can't imagine an album without PV.

秘密 (himitsu, “Secret”)
lyrics: Maaya Sakamoto; music: Jun Shibata; sound produced by: Zentarō Watanabe
DOWN TOWN
lyrics: Ginji Itō; music: Tatsurō Yamashita; sound produced by: Takayuki Hattori
One more track to be announced next week. I'm kind of about “DOWN TOWN”, but that's just because I want “yasashisa ni tsutsumareta nara” and I'm too cheap to buy the single.

I'm glad both aren't on the album but certainly I would have prefered no DOWN TOWN. It's just...rather boring. It's good. But boring.

You spend 5,000 yen or more on IDS fanclub membership, but you won't buy the cover single which costs much less? Words fail me...deltafour wrote: One more track to be announced next week. The cover single was well worth it to me, and actually a better value than Everywhere.

You buy everything above 2500 yen and anything below just has to be left out. Great tactic, gotta try that one sometime!

You can't compare a single wich only have 3 songs that are actualy covers and a best album with 30 melodies composed for her.jason wrote:You spend 5,000 yen or more on IDS fanclub membership, but you won't buy the cover single which costs much less? Please don't let them to make a yuunagi LOOP 2, I just purchase the disc and listen to it, it was the firts Maaya album I got but at the firts listening dislike a bit.
Seems more pop than the past albums, with energie, something prepared to make people dance(?) in the concerts.

Have put my pre-order in for the limited edition version along with Glee vol.1 and, and, and! I've actually gone more for more expensive shipping. Hurray, it won't take three weeks! I decided on registered airmail to deliver my goddess to my door.

...and the last track is:
手紙 (tegami, “Letter”)
lyrics: Maaya Sakamoto; music: Katsutoshi Kitagawa; sound produced by: Katsutoshi Kitagawa
So by the numbers we have:
Total tracks: 12
Tracks with Maaya lyrics: 8
Previously released tracks: 2
Tracks composed by Maaya: 0 (let's admit it, we were at least a little hopeful)
Days until release: 64
