of course i don't want the album to be once again dominated by a certain.. coughbossacough.. color *like dilly always said*
but more song like topia certainly hard to resist XD
post kanno song has some shining songs.. though still not as gold as kanno's era. Example given, hello, dreaming, remedy and topia.. so i think i'm quite satisfied with what maaya could achieve even without her teacher's being with her all the time.

I'm really excited. Can't wait for her new album!! now the theme is "winter". I think maaya's voice will do the great job to this theme. In fact, I started to love her songs after discovered them in winter. I enjoyed them very much in that time. So winter is my MEMORIES. Maaya's voice and the air of winter
are good combination.

From Maaya's official site. Two new updates:

- album will have nine songs, including collaborations with Rasmus Faber (DJ-cum-jazz pianist) and the singer song writer Frida Sundemo, who debuted under his producer-ship

- she's current on location in Ireland filming a short movie that will be included on the first press edition DVD

Verry interesting news. Faber was the man behind the Platina Jazz Anime Standards project, which did renditions of several Kanno tracks.

In a couple of weeks I will meet Japanese producer Yoko Kanno here in Sweden to work on music for a commercial film in Japan.

Coincidence?..

Perhaps, there would be a welcoming concert in a day or two after this album's release?

I'd say that's a bit of a stretch, But I wouldn't be surprised if Maaya met/found out about Rasmus Faber through Yoko Kanno. At least that's what I think roxfan was implying with his link. I don't see any other possible connection, especially since the date on that web page is May 24.
