vocal collaborations were never that big of an interest for me regarding maaya, but i know that it can help to inspire her. keeping that in mind & listening to the sample-song, i would say that performer frida sundemo can assist maaya. that background voice-usage rememberd me of when maaya did it.

when its about that housemusic i let myself get surprised. 30minutes night flight had some housemusic puzzle pieces as well, & i loved that song. on the platinajazz youtube channel that dj "represents" jazzmusic tho. kinda leaving me in the fog of what musical genre we can expect. that jazzgroup seem to have made a few performances in japan alrdy. maybe thats how the connection was created.
i hope its just a business relationship lololo <.<; im jealous! xD xD

still over 1/4 year till its out. i did not like this year so far. did not listen to yccm alot, no concert dvd, 2010 was better than 2011 & 2009 was better than 2010. concert dvds are twice as important for me as everything else lol! but she just did not want to use too much electricity using equipment, u kno? thats more important.

In my excitement over the 2 new singles coming out in Oct, I almost missed a news post on Maaya's site about the concept album. flying dog posted catalog #s for both the regular and limited editions, so online stores should have them up for preorder soon.

So flying dog finally announced the titled of the new album, which is "Driving in the silence". Sounds pretty catchy to me. :)

The track titles sound too seasonal, so I'm getting a little skeptical, but I hope it all turns out well. I've never heard of any of the composers/arrangers, but I hope they don't make the tracks sound too Christmasy.

...but...it's supposed to be a concept album with the theme of 'winter' ^^;;;;;; I think that's going to call for seasonal songs.

Although I will admit that it would be nice if the songs could be played all year round rather than digging the CD out at Christmas. Something like Utada Hikaru's 'can't wait till christmas' would be nice. Something I can listen to any time of year.

Tatoeba ringo ga te ni ochiru you ni,

more sounds like.. "What if that apple falls onto my hand?" sounds like Newton's Apple, in applied physics of gravity.

I hope "driving in the silence" is not too wintery but I'm so glad! 2011 has been her best year: we got You can't catch me and now this concept album plus two new singles! (23 new songs in a year :O ahaha)

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but what's the concept of EASY LISTENING? Since they treat it as concept album too, not only as a mini album...
