I think we have to rest assured that she's will be safe because the distance she would be staying is almost the double of the radio of the exclusion zone, and due to the winter climate the reactor will be cooler due to the surrounding temperature and consequently less polluting with radioactive fissile emisions thru the atmosphere.

For sure it is "safe". It is not that much the point, rather the fact she is giving a lot to cheer up the people there, and that is great !

I liked the interview where she said "I married him because he doesn't say things like [it would be better if we spend more time together]" ;p

She don't necessary need to put herself in such places in order to bring some Joy to them specially if there's another way to cheer this fellows up.
I'm worried but not surprise by her choice knowing the "exclusion zone" is just not really efficient for what I understand.

I feel an imbalance between bravery and martyr/"kamikaze" posture in this situation and i trust she can feel it as well.
