Haven't forgotten about this place or anything >_>

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this thing or anything, my net is kinda sucky, just recently moved houses and the internet here is... atrocious to say the least.

Listening/trying to sing Maaya songs(well the english ones, tried the japanese ones XD nope, I can't remember the words well enough to even begin since I don't know the language.

Whether she's sexy or not though, her voice makes up for it. XD I was recently trying to find some other artists to get rid of too much Maaya(>_> listening to Maaya's songs is a good thing. Listening to it over a long period with no breaks? that's verging on uh... ... what's the word for it... desperate? crazy? fanboyish? OBSESSIVE that's the word. :lol :) Didn't get very far, though I think I did single out a couple of other artists I like... though I can't recall their names at the moment and all the mp3s are on my external hdd.

Oh oh! I got it to run on my tv, was fun =D already listened to the whole thing once or twice(albeit I wasn't really paying attention to it and was busy studying/reading. Amusingly, she still managed to make me look up at the tv every once in a while even though I know it's just a recording XD)

@kirei_Landford, that last sentence made me laugh out loud :D A marriage proposal from a 12 grader was the last thing I expected to read. Particularly when I (was trying to anyway >>) was singing.

@Itada, I'm sorry to hear that... Cheer up there's plenty more fish in the sea. If it makes you feel any better i'm unattached as well :P ... not sure why it would make you feel better though

@Sakura, been feeling that way myself recently(well in between bouts of listening to Maaya), @_@; Mine's more annoying though, I always tend to get this break near the end of the year where I just sulk/emo/keep to myself for the better part of a month. It's rather annoying seeing as how I still have 2 papers to prep for. Hopefully your blues will pass over soon.

Sidenote: MUCH love for my headphones, they have some bass booster thing which makes the songs sound much better XD

Edit: Just listening to "Hello" at the moment, I looked up the lyrics a couple of days back and fell in love with the song, It's made me cry a fair number of times thinking of just how much a person has to love the other to actually tell the person that i'll be around even after I'm dead.

So I was wondering if any of you had any of her songs have a special meaning to you? Loop is another soft spot of mine but more for the visual effect(uh.. kinda? ... you know what i mean) rather than the words themselves, I've also fallen in love with Grapefruit recently because it's so different from most of her other work.

I'm totally stoked because Supercell are releasing their second single "Sayonara Memories" and most importantly Nagi (aka Gazelle) is providing the vocals.
Their first single "Kimi no shiranai monogatari" has been hands down the best non-Maaya song of the year. She does a lovely cover of "Yubiwa", "cloud 9" and Hatsune Miku's "Melt" too.

Other than that things have been quiet. Currently looking for a summer job and watching way too much anime. Hows everything going for everyone else?

Yeah, attending classes can be a trial at times. I still have two more years before I get my degree in Japanese.

@Hale do you visit Nico? There is a 100min collection of Gazelle's stuff here: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8364142 Her collaborated efforts on "Platina" and "Hashiru" aren't as good as her solo efforts mainly because I just want her voice not a bunch of people. Also the high notes in the Hatsune songs are tough but overall her voice suits Maaya's songs quite well. Wish there were more amateur stuff like this.

I don't visit Nico because I can't read/understand Japanese.

@_@;

That doesn't matter. There is also Nico in German. I have my own Nico vids.

So I just got around to watching Letter ~bring to Light~ again. Twas a fun watch. I have to say I really did like the songs (err.. outside of monitor/monitor reprise since that was a bit TOO geeky for me XD ;)

I'm a bit interested in knowing what else Ken Watanabe(Surely he's not the same Ken Watanabe who acted in Last samurai is he? O.o he looks so different even after he cleans up for the ending act.) has done since I thought his performance was pretty good.

Maaya did a pretty good job too especially considering how young she must have been when it came out(heck i'd personally still say she's young >_> ;) . I also read some of the earlier posts which said that Maaya's performance during the songs weren't that good and i'd have to say I don't think that's true. I loved all of her songs be it solo or duets in the play.(Particularly Gathering Rain which was a very... "Maaya" song in my opinion.)

The storyline was sweet. I really felt that the story was plausible and it's nice to be able to see how the relationship evolved from letters to an actual relationship.

Edit: also listening to Les Miserables but seeing as how i've never seen the english version of it, I have no idea what's going on most of the time XD; Sadly, i've never been fond of this type of play anyway...
