Oh yeah, you are way south, aren't you? :O But it's possible to take the train to Tokyo from Kyushu, I know someone who did it. I think it was complicated though...

While you were in Tokyo, you went to Disneyland, right? How was it? Did you happen to hear Maaya's supposed narration on the Splash Mountain ride? Because I did not..... even though it's SUPPOSED to be there!!!

Good to see you're still alive. Have any troubles with the perverted locals? I hear those Japanese guys love foreign women.

Okay, I don't know WHERE you heard that, but it's completely wrong. Japanese GIRLS like foreign GUYS. Vice versa is not true at ALL, only in very rare circumstances. >o (Not that I'm dying to score with Japanese guys, I just don't like that it's so easy for the dullest, least special American guy to hook up with this cute Japanese girl. Seriously. It's happened at least twice so far)

Then you should search for 'Charisma Man' ^_^ Its a comic strip about what you're talking about.

Yes! Thank you for reminding me. I'd tried to find that earlier but been unsuccessful. Now I definitely have it.

Well I was just making a joke (cry).

I'm not really interested in picking up a Japanese girl. I'd rather find a shy bookworm type girl back here in Texas :P . I know one of my friends going with me to Japan will probably try flirting with as many Japanese girls as he can, mainly cause he's a conversational playboy (his end goal is not sex, it's conversation lol).

Frecklegirl - I think it depends on the area because me and my friend are actually, now we've settled into the uni, having to fight off Japanese guys with sticks :( I'd say it's like not all english people find Japanese girls/boys attractive it's the same for Japanese people liking westerners although maybe 70:40 with the 40 being curious about western girls.

Again, this might be a kumamoto phenmanon (however you spell it) since everyone's amazing that I think the university boy population is 65% beautiful and cool *_* I was told there were not hot guys in Kumamoto, apparently they "move to fukuoka" but it's not true!!

The thing about boys we've found is that it's hard to initially grab them - like at my volleyball circle which has boys and girls, they seperate into sexes to play and generally don't socialise at the club at all which means all my volleyball friends are girls. And it feels weird stopping people in the street to say 'wanna be friends?' The trick to boys is the drinking party afterwards probably.

Aaah the mystery of Japanese people and alcohol. Anyway, this is how I got my first boyfriend - we got drunk at a face painting party together :P and the guy I like now who is being very touchy feely...well....er....if you can call slapping me around flirting - also through drinking parties/karaoke and stuff.

it's just finding them to get to come to the drinking party - attacking locals works ^^;;;

Come to Kumamoto ^__^

Oh yeah, a Korean is coming for me too but that doesn't count now, does it?

Everyone thinks we're in our 20's which is good for drinking, bad for meeting boys our age.

I guess it depends on where are you living. Here in Kanto people is more 'reserved', I mean they usually put a wall betwen themselves and other people. Specially with foreigners. err I'm talking about japanese men in general. Actually they're afraid or they don't like foreign women.

On the other side if you get a japanese girl drunk... its really easy.

And the japanese and alcohol, well it's their only way to let off steam and the only way to loose some of their society imposed stiff rules. Well that's what I think.
