I wrote a new song! (update: 2010-03-16)
Two new songs that form a set.
The first is light and cheerful, called "Calm Before The Storm."
The second is dark and erratic, called "The Storm."
These are only arrangements, there will be vocals later.
MP3's (beware, high quality, so the total track is 23 MB), I separated the tracks into two parts, but also uploaded the full length double-feature.

Gah I feel horrible.
I told myself to listen to your songs after your last post but I completely forgot until now.
Aftermath is pretty. I love that some parts are a bit rough(or rather have slightly longer pauses?) actually since it doesn't just become another one of those nice piano melodies you listen to then forget because there's 4 million variations of it.
Passionata has a nice beginning, really sets up the feeling of menace/passion at the beginning and doesn't let up until the ending. I have to say though the ending feels a bit stilted to me. Like it was meant to be longer...
Still, they're both very good. :3

Thank you! Despite it has a simplistic theme that is not even that hard to play, musically it is the most complex theme I ever wrote. It shifts through different keys throughout the entire song many many times and the theme keeps developing. That is quite unique because I wrote this song with the intention to add vocals later, even though the arrangement already has a strong melody on its own.

Actually, it was not supposed to be a song at all. I was writing the intro for a different song. I liked the riff I wrote, but it did not quite suit the song I wrote it for, so I whipped it out to a full song. I wrote, played and recorded Passionata in about half an hour.
