"Yuunagi LOOP" ! \(^o^)/

I guess it may be true o_O
I don't remember exactly how long it took me to romanize all "Shounen Alice" songs, but I think it was around a week, as I was pretty busy at that time and didn't have the knowledge I have now about Japanese.
This time, it only took me a day to type and romanize all, though I had to correct some mistakes in the romanizations (mainly mispellings and forgotten words or letters) when posting the lyrics yesterday^^;
Seems like all that studying in university has finally paid off..! ^___^;

I think next time she would write the Lyrics for Maaya-chan herself :)
She could also take the photo for the booklet because she is a good photographer
Nee, I would love to take pictures of Maaya ! T-T
Actually, I would love to take pictures of anybody or anything..! ;___;
I found a good photography school in Paris but it's about 7000 € per year (you have to study 3 years to get a diploma) T__________T *dispair*
By the way, thank you guys for your support *^^*;;;

Umm, no. I only know about it because you've written a couple of times to my DeviantArt page
Sora: I might copy the transliterations to wiki once I have it working again (I'm updating it at the moment, so it is not in use).

Well, I have worse memory, forgetting a lot of things. I tend to remember something general when other people remember all kinds of details... sorry, my brains are optimized for Google (I know how to search for information, not how to remember a lot of information).

Yuunagi Loop translations!!
Yesss! After being possessed like a MADWOMAN and blazing through all these songs in two days (not to say that I haven't done a thorough job--I've gone back and checked for consistency etc) I HAVE TRANSLATED ALL OF YUUNAGI LOOP. :3 :3 (Except for "Loop," because there's already a wonderful translation by luminaire. But I'm going to include it anyway cause I made a few changes.)
So, here are all the songs translated! With my notes on each one, which is mostly going to be helpful for people planning to translate them into other languages, so anyone else can skip them if they want.
I've also only included the English translation because the romaji/kanji can be found on the first page of this thread.
You can host these anywhere, just please tell me and provide a link back to my site (link in my signature).
Enjoy!!

No Fear / Aisuru Koto | No Fear / Loving
Also, when she says the thing about the children of the desert, I thought perhaps about people in the Middle East being bombed and how Maaya feels such compassion for them (much like the song 'Chibikko Folk' actually). Who knows, but that's just my guess.
Also, for those translating the song into Spanish or French, I can tell you that 'aisuru koto' is going to translate as 'amar/aimer.' When you add -koto to the end of a verb, it makes it a noun, so like when you list your hobbies for example, it's things like 'shashin o torukoto' (taking pictures). So in those languages it'd be like 'Me gusta comer, cocinar...' and 'J'aime manger, lire...', etc etc. SO! There you go. >.>
Unison
(So for translating it to French--in the first stanza, you should vouvoyer, and in the second, tutoyer. XD)
The rest of the song... there's less contrasting language so I don't know if the stanzas keep switching off or what. (Except for the line "It has to be you. / It has to be your vibrations," in which the first sentence is sung by the man, and the second by the woman.) Anyway. It's a very cool song, I still love how it changes tempo, and when it does, the lyrics reflect that--going from the introspective wondering to a determined "I'll keep going" type of tone. Ahh :3

Hello
Okay!! What a sad song ;_; It's about someone who has died and left behind someone he/she loves on earth, but gets the feeling that that person has moved on without them. Because of the line about the earrings, I got a masculine sense from this song, so here I thiiink Maaya is singing as a guy (as in 'Makiba Alice'), and the person left behind is a girl.Hello – I wrote you a letter from heaven
I’d love to see your surprised face
Holding close to your shivering shoulders is something I can’t do anymore, but
I want to feel again
The wind that made your earrings sway is me
If the rain falls suddenly, it is because of me
In the golden ions so small no one can see them – I’m by your side
Hello – I looked at you from heaven
Of course, you were so pretty
Because it’s good that you remember me from time to time
I want to smile again
Don’t give up on finding someone to love
Show me your courage to live on: I believe in you
The golden days are waiting, reflected in the shimmering light in your cheeks
When did I become transparent? Losing even my name and my accountability
I’ll never forget how happy I was when I fell in love with you
Don’t give up on looking to tomorrow
Show me your courage to live on: I believe in you
The golden days are waiting, reflected in the shimmering light in your cheeks
If you come across a nostalgic scent, it is me
If you hear our song on the radio, it is because of me
In the golden ions so small no one can see them – I’m by your side
Honey Come
Yeah, I already posted this elsewhere, but for the sake of continuity I'm duplicating it here. You reached for my hand as if you had been holding onto it all along
Such an impressive method to try and fool me, wasn’t it? Pretending like nothing changed
(the sky clearing up) An airplane’s trail through the clouds stretching away into the distance
(the wind blowing through) A premonition that love is about to begin
I’m embarrassed, but to tell the truth, your face looked so
bashful, with such an adorable expression
A boy probably gets completely caught up in lies
in order to hide a heart that is full of love for a girl
You don’t let go of my hand as we slip through the crowded street
I could be wrapped up in this calm glow; I just want to keep walking in a straight line from here
(the conversation stops) Silence suddenly takes over
(what to say next) Both of us are flustered, searching for words
Not saying anything, not mentioning “love”
Beginning to feel like it would be good for time to stop
A boy probably plays the part of the reliable one
in order to keep from being seen through and letting the truth spill out to a girl
It seems we’re shaking like adults, it seems we’re behaving in such an innocent way
It seems my feelings are verified with the vague way our hands connected; strong
I’m embarrassed, but to tell the truth, your face looked so
bashful, with such an adorable expression
A boy probably gets completely caught up in lies
in order to hide a heart that is full of love for a girl
Loop
I've bolded the lines that I changed. Just because the 'slightly-open' window thing wasn't even mentioned at ALL in the previous translation by luminaire, and I thought it should be more accurate. Whether anyone changes their copy of the translation accordingly is up to them, really, but I'm OCD so I felt the need to present it to all of you. >.>Hey, when these streets are dyed with twilight,
somewhere else in the world, the sun is rising.
When that flower you grasp in your hand wilts,
its small seeds will fall onto the ground
If you call the well-trodden earth a path,
then I guess even the closing of my eyes is love?
If this Earth was flat, the both of us would have never met.
We’d have been running away from each other
without even slowing down. Now, even if we’re separated to the ends of the Earth
we’ll probably face each other again amidst the endlessly looping miracles
Hey, when the twilight veiling these streets disappears,
I’ll ask it to take these tears of mine with it
If you call these written characters of a speech a short story,
then I guess these words I dare not say are a dream?
Carried by a leaf floating on the clear river,
they head for the sea, form a cloud and will fall as rain
to tend to those seeds that dropped near you so far away, even though it would be nice
if you, being in a different place, would notice it for me
It’s because this Earth spins continuously without ever once stopping
that the scenery I see outside the slightly-open window changes
At the time when the flowers I loved bud softly,
at the end of these endlessly looping miracles, we’ll probably face each other again
We’ll probably face each other
Looping round and round and round,
Looping round and round around you
Wakaba / Fresh Leaves
Kind of an unremarkable song... just a plain old lost-love type of thing, it seems. Ah well.If I passed the intersection, before long I’d see at high speed
zooming down the street as if they were connected all the way to the sea
the chipped memories and beloved promises
which lie thick along this road, playing without sound
While the night is lit up, I continue to run
When the fresh leaves are most fragrant, it’s like that day with you never ended
I know there was traffic like always, as usual, but
in my new car, I somehow became able to drive well
And before the day was over, there was an instant of blue
in that time when you held my hand in such an unbearable, precious way
Why do we become adults in such a way that we can’t even hear it happening?
When the fresh leaves were most fragrant, we feared the future without knowing why
The tail wind brings reports of the lands far to the south,
on the other side of the seashore
While the night is lit up, now we go our separate ways
When the fresh leaves were most fragrant, we yearned for the future so much it hurt
While the night is lit up, I continue to run
When the fresh leaves are most fragrant, it’s like that day with you never ended
Paprika
Aww, this song's kind of cute. This one is DEFINITELY from the point of view of a girl... and all the cooking references are adorable. Mmm, curry.Hey, you
Whose retreating figure looks so cute
Since summer’s ending, should we have a curry of summer vegetables?
With red and yellow paprika
The world’s best spice
“We’ll see about that,” you said
If it’s me then there’s no problem at all
But I won’t let myself cry, okay?
The two of us always make the same food
on Sunday afternoons
because this way we’re together
Hey, you
Saying the word “happiness” means it exists
Having a boyfriend can satisfy hunger
when it’s for the sake of confirming your self-worth
Wouldn’t it be nice if we went on eating only the same things?
If we did that, the two of us might grow closer
In heart and in body
When we finish, I look back to see you already so happy
like a child whose face looks triumphant with success…
The two of us always make the same food
on Sunday afternoons because this way we’re together, right?
Wouldn’t it be nice if we went on eating only the same things?
If we did that, the two of us might grow closer
than now,
than anyone
My Favorite Books
Nothing much to say about this one either... it's about books. yay? *laughs* I do like the reference to how when she stops reading a book, she knows the story's still going on inside it, and then when she opens it up again everything starts up again. I also got the vague feeling that this song is about someone who doesn't have very many friends, or perhaps used to not have very many friends, and so took solace in reading (the lines about being lonely and being different mostly made me think this).Inside my favorite picture books
My favorite pages are torn
Like I’ll reread them any time, they’re always in my chest pocket
In the one where the cowardly dog goes on a journey
For the sake of someone who will love him unconditionally, he broke his own leash
My favorite picture books are all I have left
Like the sad stories where help doesn’t come
So there’s just a torn-up hope in my chest pocket
that being lonely and being a little different have nothing to do with each other
When I lose my place in a book, the ongoing journeys just wander about aimlessly
Hey, look here, they’re all coming back
I’m so cowardly that I could never say this, but
I think your kind of strength is beautiful
When I fixed the pages that had been torn
in my favorite picture books
Because both joy and sadness were vividly noticeable
I cried later, letting it all out
This time, in the story where I go on a journey by your side
the journey will go farther than ever before
We’ll go together, to a faraway place, yet still so close by
Tsuki to Hashiri-nagara / While Running with the Moon
Ahh, these lyrics are great! I'm just a sucker for stuff about people who can't confess their feelings, though *laughs* And I like the idea of saying goodbye at the subway station. It seems I can’t recall what summer smells like
On nights when I’m wrapped up in signs of autumn
Today we said goodbye at the station platform
before going up the stairs
Looking down, I muttered an awkward “Good night”
Yet again leaving behind the feelings I can’t seem to convey
We’ve still got a few minutes until the last train comes
“The moon is pretty tonight, isn’t it?” I say – but that’s such a cowardly line
As I watch the season draw to a close,
I can’t say “I love you”
We’re the kind of friends who can talk about anything
But I’m afraid that will change, that we’ll break apart
I board the train car in front of me, saying “goodbye”
As the door closes, I smile at you from behind the glass
The last train starts to move, and again today
I tell myself “This was good,” the words I can never say
Suppressing the slight fever I feel
While running with the moon, surrounded by such thoughts, I can’t say “I love you”
No Fear / Aisuru Koto | No Fear / Loving
This song is so weird with all of its random punctuation. I'm still not quite sure what all of it means. The stuff at the beginning about the person living in a different time seemed interesting--it seems like this person is some sort of adventurer from another era, with his map and all--but then that isn't really elaborated on (at least to me).You were born at a time unknown to me.
In a foreign land, with names of constellations that I don’t know. Since I’m the same size
as the map you travel with, I’ll stay there on top of it.
I’m really scared, but it’s all right. The road is definitely continuing.
Even being afraid is all right. Loving, dreaming--
I won’t fear anything anymore
As a child I read about the living things of the desert,
which, held in God’s arms, keep waiting till the day when water overflows them,
and even when they get sick, even when they die, I’ll be right there next to them.
Even not being able to see anything is all right. It’s all definitely there.
Even being afraid is all right. Believing, regretting—
I won’t fear anything anymore.
Even not being able to see anything is all right. The road is definitely continuing.
Even being afraid is all right. I won’t let go of your hand.
Loving, fearing— I won’t fear anything anymore.
SO! There you go. >.>
Unison
Okay. This song is really pretty awesome all around. But what's weird about it is that I'm sort of convinced there are different voices throughout it. In the first stanza, the speaker uses 'anata' to refer to you, and uses the more formal 'deshou' (which indicates typically feminine language). In the second, the speaker says basically the same things, but with 'kimi' and 'darou' (masculine language--which fits in with the reference to the scent of the other person's hair). Yeah, I'm pretty convinced the first two stanzas are two people speaking to each other.Where is it that you are? I can’t see even a little bit
I can’t even remember your face anymore; there’s only a memory of being loved... only that...
Where could you be? What I remember is the scent of your hair
I hear your voice singing even in the birds’ chirping... I hear it...
Ah, dawn interrupts our exploration of the universe
The aurora holds the world tight now
If I died, I’d come back to life
Ah, in order to love you once more
I keep wandering aimlessly in this deep forest
Without being able to stop my feet from moving
With my wounded heart, even if I lost tomorrow
I’d keep walking without a magnet or a lamp
by believing in and picturing only my own feelings
I want us to be joined together, like an echo calling out to itself
It has to be you. It has to be your vibrations
that I can feel, that I know I’ll find
Where is it that you are? In a thousand years of flowing time
I am but one fish in the sea; there’s only a memory of being loved... only that...
Please find me...
(So for translating it to French--in the first stanza, you should vouvoyer, and in the second, tutoyer. XD)
The rest of the song... there's less contrasting language so I don't know if the stanzas keep switching off or what. Fuyu desu ka / Is It Winter?
Aww, I like this song. No other comments, really! Is it winter already? Is it the north wind?
In the same black coat this year
I’ll take the subway, cross the pedestrian bridge
going the same way as always
While messing with my bangs, when I turn the corner
Why do all of a sudden I just want to cry?
There is another side to the thick clouds
A sign that there is a light we can’t see now
Throwing out my hands, I’ll shout out
It’s okay to laugh at me
Is it winter already? Are you lonely?
What are you laughing at?
Are these kinds of feelings out-of-place?
Have you been wanting to see me too?
Because there’ve been a lot of winds blowing, we’ll have a warm winter this year
Just like someone said
A memory of something touching my lips
inviting me to a profoundly nice sleep
And “I love you,” said in that voice
I’ll probably forget it all
There is another side to the thick clouds
A sign that there is a light we can’t see now
Throwing out my hands, I’ll shout out
It’s okay to laugh at me
Yuunagi Loop / Loop of an Evening Calm
Aghjahfsjf of course the title song HAS to be the most confusing one!! That stanza about the silhouette shaking hands STILL confuses me... so if anyone can look at it and give me some input, I'd appreciate it, but otherwise, it can stay as it is. But yeah, to my knowledge, this mostly a vague, introspective, philosophical-wondering type of song.Looking out over as much as I can of a 360-degree view of the faraway horizon
Am I getting close? Am I far? I don’t know yet
Like going straight through incessantly, steadily, I do more and more things without even trying
Even so, I want to know where things go when they echo
Only which, until where
I’ll probably keep going along in this way
From this, from here
The time that’s left is infinite
I’m bothered by the sound of breathing so rudely in my ears, because on the quiet horizon,
there is a faint silhouette of you who beckoned me to come closer
When you cower behind your flushed neck, your coiled-up irritation
Why am I reminded of scenery that seems to be made up of things I can’t even see?
Teaching, illuminating
Along the road that leads to that lighthouse
It calls out, it is heard
The answers that possess me are infinite
While chasing after you, you’re like a blurred shadow I can’t see
Still, I know that voice resembles someone else’s so well
Only which, until where
I’ll probably keep going along in this way
Teaching, illuminating
Along the road that leads to that lighthouse
It calls out, it is heard
The voice of a you that I could no longer see
From this, from here
The two of us being here is just infinite
A Happy Ending
A very sweet song. An old man is singing about the wife he has loved deeply and the happy life they have had together despite being poor. Aww.Let’s live together in this room
We’ve got nothing in it, but the view is good
We’ll grow the flowers you like
We don’t have any money, but we love each other
Oh lady, my lady
They say we’re too different, but
My lady, sweet lady, if we hold each other it’s all right
You and I are the same
Oh lady, my lady, holding back your smile
You love me too
So many years have passed since then
We don’t have any money, but we’re still living
Our kids are grown, so…
Oh lady, my lady
They say we’re all wrinkled now, but
Oh lady, sweet lady, if we hold each other it’s all right
Now and the past are the same
Oh lady, my lady, holding back your smile
I love you
Even if we’re reborn, I always will
My lady, sweet lady, holding back your smile
Oh my beautiful one
