We're getting a lot of French spambots get through to become members over the past few weeks. No idea why...

Is there any help Merri can give us?

i lately haven't notice anymore strange nicknames in the new member notification again.. other than google and baidu that keep logging on regularly..

They usually have small random letters at the beginning and end of their names. Or in 'free games' in French or something.

Or if you look in the birthday section sometimes there are obvious ones (like sexy videos or whatever) and in their profile their info is all adverts.

oh so you browse through their profile and not need to track their post.. Hmm..
i think less members is better rather than having more but with many of them r just spammers, advertisers etc... lurkers, rare posters are still pretty much welcome though.... as long as they're really a maaya fan

i know some of them basically just forget that they have account at maayas and some just too freakin busy with their daily life...

some of them have signatures that contain ads.. yes, that could be a reason for a ban, but some seem to relate with social/medical/donation,.. stuffs like that.. now i feel guilty for banning them :S
