Wolf's Rain

Post by chibiNekomancer »

"You can find reviews mostly anywhere, but the only opinions i would consider are yours" ^^

--in other words--

Since i am sorta peeking at animes that Maaya has a role in... or at the very least a single, i would like to know how is this anime. Leaving spoilers out, are there fans of this series?, would you recommend it?

And does Maaya only sing the last part? (Gravity)... i hope she does not have a role like in Arjuna (only sings but is not part of the story).

I recommend this one to everyone. I mean, it's my favorite anime of all the time. :D
Wolf's Rain takes place in a future that has many parts of the world that are either dead or decaying. Life is a precious thing and there is no safe place to live. Cities aren't a common thing to come by and are protected by domes. It is said that before the world ends, the wolves will lead everyone to "Paradise". Very few people believe this because wolves have been extinct for 200 years now.
This is a very brief introduction to it. Maaya has one role as Hamona, and sings one or two more songs besides Gravity. I think this anime really deserves your time
even with all those recaps (4!!!)... It's useless to watch them, IMO

~* my heart stops when hubb's wife falls down the ice leadge..

icy feelings felt when cheza says her last words to kiba..

"..and then we would have what we've been searching for, our heaven"
-cheza

for me, the worst sorrow was eventually held by kiba san.. pity that lone wolf.. and all he wanted was to aim for paradise. and all he gets was carrying all of those pain. another unique part of this anime, is that they leave heaven un-visual to us. as in respecting our different beliefs and thoughts about heaven. :) to the director.

talking about arjuna, remembered me of Macross Zero when the villages childrens are watching arjuna in their television xD nice one xD. well since the arjuna director/team made Macross Zero too. ohoho.

(I noticed sakamoto did play as voice actress in one of the episodes; noticed it from the ending credits, didnt know who she played as up until now as stated above)

time to retun to all the work that havent been done xD
One more year has passed, still single :) http://maaya_no_uta.pitas.com

*Goes blind*

Guess there should be a warning at the begining of the post :P
I was not sure as to who is who and what is going on, so i think story wont be affected... and my random amnesia is always a friendly way to
fix spoiles XD

Fat kitties? o_x
i have yet to meet a obesse cat, i usually just take care of random stray cats, so they are usually more on the skinny side (because of excercise).

*Must restrain from reading posts above :S*

Mr. ChibiNekomancer, you MUST watch that anime. :x

Great soundtrack, beautiful story, nice colored, good animation...
There are 30 eps, 26 for TV and the last 4 in OAV. Eps from 15 to 18 are a resume, so you can pass from 14 to 19.

haha... 'mr' chibi.. what a weird nick mutation
Anyway, im watching the series and i have loved it so far (so i have restrained from reading the spoiler posts you warned about).

Each character is well defined and i am suprised that the story does not make crappy characters to interact with the main cast, but makes an effort to give feeling to each one (*SPOILER?* aka, the boy at the begining, the girl and toboe, the beaten wolf slaves in the old city, etc).

I have to ask, does Maaya have a role in this story?

This helped clear things up.... the end is in episode 26.... and the last 4 tell the end... sorta i guess. I got my hands on 28 episodes, so i did not notice the last 2 were ovas! hehe

But for the most, thanks for your opinions, this series is excellent :D
i look forward to seeing the ovas XD XD

PS. Any good links to them? *searches*
