I made it lighter so you can recognise the letters. I had some trouble seeing the letters, because brown is quite much a grey-like color. Actually, we already have some blue: they grey used is slightly blue :)

We can try all kinds of things, editing CSS is very easy. And changing (wanted) colors of graphics is no big deal.

I (finally) uploaded the new front page sent by Tenson. I did "some" changes though to make it a bit lighter to load.

See the new front page! :D

About the changes:

|1| I think the Maaya's draw background it's a great idea. It's a pity that it can't be seen completely.

|2| I also think that the paragraph style of "under construction" text is better that the one I used. Maybe using another colors for text and links it would looks nicer, but it's ok.

|3| The page loads quickly and JavaScript works fine. Well done!

|4| I miss the inferior grey horizontal bar. I liked the simetrical looks. Why is it absent?

Those last two weeks I used the PC very little, because my brother has been here on holidays; but since today I'll work again in forum template.

4. Because I forgot it! :lol:

Could you make the language menu images? I guess English, French, Finnish and Spanish are what we use at the moment.

Hi! Me again! :maayagrin:

I have retouched the designs for the forum. You can view them in the link I posted before:
http://www.jose-ortiz.net/maayas/mainpage.htm

Like before, click in any language link for load the standard page. Through the links in that standard page you can access PNGs showing various designs for the forums.

I hope you like those more than previous.
Code: Select all

<!-- BEGIN switch_something -->

<b>Show this text if something should be shown</b>

<!-- END switch_something -->

<i>This is always visible</i>
Can I make my own switch or can I only use the provided in .TPLs? Any good tutorial out there about switches and loops? :o

You can only use the defined ones. You can find the useable ones from includes/page_header.tpl, includes/page_footer.tpl and the template file you're using. I think. It is possible to edit the TPL files though, just that this makes it far harder to update the forum when they release security fixes at phpbb.com.

This one goes for Merri:
I sent you a PM and I'm not sure if you have view it, 'cause the last time you told me you had problems with pup-up advice.
In that PM I told you, among other things, about pass me the css for test the template I'm building at home. Well, there's no need for it yet because I downloaded it from my browser typing
http://www.maayas.net/forum/templates/Maayas/Maayas.css
I'm not sure if this access could be a problem of security (after all, a css is not top-secret stuff) but I point it to you.
That's all, yeah :lol:

Hi!
Now that I have started to build up the template I found that I have to modify the php code in a lot of files, so I've decided to make a more simple template. The manteinance and the upgrading will be easiest.
