Awesome!! But you know, in Japanese it's "OTOUSAN"--but maybe you were using Chinese, I don't know!

Where did that picture come from?

Of course that depends on which writing style is being used: otosan, otousan, otósan... all are acceptable writing forms of Japanese in latin characters, because there is no forcing standard :) Although I guess "ou" style is the most common.

I wonder where you found the "otósan" version, first time I read it written that way o_O

As for a standard, I think the Hepburn system is the most used and famous one for Japanese ; "otousan" using Hepburn transcription would be written as "otōsan" :) (or "otôsan" in many books and websites - unavailable character or laziness to search for it ?^^)

I've found the ó one in two Finnish books and one English book about Japanese. So many variations it hurts your head.

Aww, that's cute. :>

I really didn't intend to start a debate on the spellings (those never end well), I was just pointing out that no matter what, the word sangye had wasn't the right one. >.>

i think you better get in line. lots of suitors on this forum.

she has her fathers eyes, and a bit of his nose. maybe her lips too but more feminine.
