Yay!!! Finally got my CD and CDJapan sent me that lovely poster they were talking about *smile!!*

I actually do like it. Overall it's much better produced than Easy Listening (though Easy Listening had stronger individual tracks, IMO) and excellent. It's more memorable but doesn't have the power that some tracks in Easy Listening carried (both English tracks, and Birds).

What do you mean by "better produced"? You mean the songs blend better together? Because as such, I don't consider that very important.

I don't like the "special effects" in the songs, all the small tricks that feel kind of glued into the songs and which don't go well with Maaya's voice or the main feel of the song. Also, I don't like the constant BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP in the opening track and it doesn't really serve the song all that well.

I'd also like if the tracks had a bit more variety. There is a bit too much identical repeat (or atleast it feels so at the moment).

Well, the tracks are supposed to be flowing like that together, so they can't really jump through as much as they could on a normal album. But the instrumentation sounds a lot better than Yuunagi LOOP (which seemed to be more synthed) and overall the theme and the songs are really nice. It goes well with the concept as it was supposed to. I think that's probably why the tracks don't stand out individually either. it's like one 30 minute track ^^;;

As for the meanings of the track relating to the concept as a whole - I think we're missing a key component of not understanding the lyrics...

I like the special effects.. I think the constant base provided a lovely contrast to Maaya's voice.

I thought it was better produced than Easy Listening because it had a better arrangement of tracks. To me the wholeness of an album is important. While I ADORE every track on Shounen Alice, for example, I don't think that album was arranged well. The track listing could've been better ordered. :X

I entered lame zone since I've been loopin that part of the song over and over again, with the haa, huu and haaa~

&& when enters the 2nd song, it's all mushi mushi.. ~ sticky feelings ~

I was thinking about other possibilities that maaya has not much time to read mails and such. Let's brainstorm for other ideas, like an openbook webpage.

1. using Flash webbased design
2. if some fans have scanned their message (with words and comical designs) - perferabably add some translations for english words.
3. add em up to the web flash desgin

Ok like this, the front cover is like using the Passport -30min design (I've made one recently to promote that mini album over at friendster rofl) -login first to see the image-

then with some flash workout, we can turn the page by page. Each page contain our fans name, message + comical design / landmark, images of whatever he/she wishes.

intergrate it with a system anyone can register and upload an image (it depends on how big the passport will be, let's say a minimum of 800px x 300px = per page (best part, we make EACH page zoom-able, click on it and it opens the large version. let's say really huge image(scanned)

and of course, there should be a moderator for it. to check each files being sent upon, to make sure we keep a good image for that project itself.

IF it works out, we may get some good response.
IF it doesnt work out, at least we know out memories are out there in a passport XD

-benefits of this project, self satisfaction, it looks advance, so we probably get a knack over most fans. get people together and more others.

in simple terms - an online passport, where the stamps are our names, location, and our original artwork. all in 800x300px (for each page) - where upon clicked it maximized to whatever size we want.

uurrgh.... i envy everyone for having maaya's cd. i have to wait for centuries to get one available in the hobby store here. this is really getting on my nerves!!

In my area, I do find some of the albums ie. like RahXephon CD where maaya song is in there, then my buddy said, mostly in asia eventho it looked original, with the cover arts and such, it's doubtful that it sourced from the original company in japan.

If you really support her, buy direct / order from japan itself. You can get it cheap sometimes, since some online shopping places sell the older album cheaper due to long time. but either way, the originality exists, where actually we are supporting her.

piracy really did hurt many artists, even in my country, many local bands / singers had a hard time to even get a daily bread to eat, because the support isnt there. but the thing was, albums did sold well. but most of the money are taken away by the illegal pirate cd-dvd sellers.

since I cant buy online (I'm either an idoit, or i'm dead broke now) I just listen to sample songs, and lol I had that neglance to share the songs even with my siblings

like watching anime / just a hobby.

try to get it through legit sellers / one whom actually gives a knack to maaya's development.

none of maaya album could get popular eventhough the quality is unquestionable,,, reality is harsh,, :?

and imurann, i think you need a lot of efforts to make that flash page,, and make people participate in it,, u see not all people willing to spent his time to search/make pics/trademark and words that symbolize them and get it up on the net. And it's not a guarantee either that maaya would see it. We even don't know has maaya even search the internet to know how's her fans think of her..

ugghh,, if i live in japan.. i could think of some way. Like perhaps getting info bout maaya daily activities and get to know places where she frequently visits.. Ill probably bring a large board written
