"newbie" also called "noob", "n00b","nub", or "newb" is a term for somebody who just joined a group and is trying to fit in, or somebody who is not very good at something. On messageboards you're usually a noob until you have like 50 posts or so.

Depending on how it is said, the word can be an insult or a friendly way of referring to somebody you dont know well yet. The way I use the word is a joking way of saying that somebody is bad at something. For instance my friend will try to throw a piece of paper across the room into the trashcan and will miss completely. I'll say something like "you stupid noob" as a way to jokingly laugh at him.

I'm the one who told her about that topic^^ because she didn't know about it so I said to her that she could introduce herself to everybody here if she wanted^^

Newbie or not, it's always nice to have more people introducing themselves here, ne ? ^_~ We're something like 289 members, but how many really introduced themselves..? :s 30, 40 people..? :(

I know some people are too shy and/or like better to stay in the shadow or don't understand English very well but still what a pity~ :( (((

A little about myself in general: I'm.. uh.. currently living in Canada. I've loved Sakamoto sensei's songs since God knows when. She just writes and sings so beautifullys. I sing mostly Sakamoto sensei's songs, although I give them no justice and that makes me a sad little crazed fan. Currently looking for the Hashiru album, because it has karaokes that I'd kill for.

You might want to check YesAsia.com for Maaya singles. I couldnt find the Hashiru single on there, but I did find various others.
