w00tage, I heart KOTOKO, big time and I cant wait to see her in concert. I doubt she'll be able to top the Maaya concert from AnimeFEST, but it should be pretty neat nonetheless.
There's no exact day she will be performing, but it'll likely be Sunday night (June 11th). The convention is from June 9th through the 11th.

Actually, A-kon concerts are usually Friday and/or Saturday night. Unlike Afest, the con doesn't extend until Monday, and Sunday is usually a day of shutting things down.
I haven't listened to Kotoko but I may have to go try and find some of her stuff. Even though I don't really go to Akon's concerts, cause they're usually whiny jrock boy-band crap. XD

KOTOKO and I've Sound are awesome. If you like relatively low budget sounding synthesized techno pop, that is. If you're more into the orchestral score music, then you wont find any with KOTOKO. If you havent heard anything by her, I'd recommend checking out the following songs:
1.) Sensitive
2.) Lament
3.) Glass no nabikaze
4.) Shooting star (Onegai teacher OP)
5.) Hane
6.) Hitorigoto
7.) Being (Shakugan no Shana 2nd OP)

I love I've sound but I wouldn't call it low-budget sounding, especially LAMENT and Disintergration (the best I've sound girls compilations bwa ha ha) but I guess the older stuff sounds jaded ^^;;;;;;;;
I recommend 'Genei' off her Hane album, really powerful.

rotten blimmin' us anime conventions. you guys get all the good stuff while im festering in a anime desert. it would be easier to catch a neutrino in a glass of water than to get a decent event here. ive only heard kotokos opening theme for oneti but she sounds good. any other good album suggestions for kotoko newbies?

Boy this thread is old. I actually ended up missing the concert due to A-kon's crappy way of holding it. The concert was at 10:00 PM on Friday night. My friends and I (4 of us total) werent aware that there was a 3 hour pre-concert show, and if you wanted to see KOTOKO you had to be in line at 5:30 PM. Well we got in line anyway at 5:30, and one of my friends ran out to get some food. When we finally got into the place where the concert was being held, they told us we couldnt save him a seat. Since food isnt allowed in there, and no seats could be saved, we were pretty screwed. We just ended up leaving and waited for the 4th friend before eating. At that point we got back in line but the place was full and they had to wait for people to leave before leaving other people in. It was really lame.
As for KOTOKO, the hane album is really good, as well as the list of individual songs I posted a while back.
