Kamichu!
Kamichu!
I just noticed Kamichu DVDs are out! Fansubbers never translated all of it, so... there is only one choice... Must buy!

I found out ChuChuChuu! group has released a full fansub download three weeks ago. I got the first few episodes already (starting from episode nine), seems like high quality work in all matters
Although you need to install CCCP to be able to see anything.
Of course, I order the DVDs anyway, did the same with Azumanga.

I watched episode 12 just a few moments ago. I have to say right in the beginning: this episode was brilliant. I have to give spoiler warnings for those who haven't seen the episode...
SPOILERS
Behind a very regular theme of transfer student and a few nice bits of comedy, was hidden a true crystal. A big message that was blown into the face of the watcher in the end: if you don't try to make friends, you're unlikely to get friends. It doesn't sound like too much, but the theme and message was so well hidden that it didn't become apparent at all until the end of the episode. This episode is one of the greatest anime episodes that I have ever seen, story telling wise.
/SPOILERS
(Side note: I also watched this episode at 2 AM, so my brains ran a bit slower than most of the time.)

I finished Kamichu! a few months ago, but it's definitely one of the best anime series I've EVER seen. I would say it was the best anime series of 2006, and one of the only series to make me cry (or at least have tears well up in my eyes).
One review I heard of Kamichu! sums it up quite well.
"Have you ever seen a movie that makes you want to be a better person, well Kamichu! is the anime version of that."
